海碩杯好口碑 WTA官網讚

今年海碩杯女網賽落幕，昨天WTA官網專文介紹賽事，12萬5千美元等級的「WTA挑戰賽」在台北球迷願意進場支持，透露台灣仍有賽事升級的潛力。

WTA官網介紹選手來台參賽的好評，提升台灣國際能見度，就像海碩集團董事長韓國福所期望的，舉辦賽事除了推廣網球，更要宣傳台灣。

WTA行事曆爆滿，再新增巡迴賽已超出選手負荷，挑戰賽安排在年末，無法視為熱門賽事，但卻能當做新秀選手挑戰隔年澳網的最佳舞台。

許多選手在澳網會外、會內邊緣，前一年參與海碩杯等挑戰賽，便可搶到分數、利於隔年初期競爭。

現今WTA挑戰賽除哥倫比亞外，其餘4站全數都在大陸及台灣，包含蘇州、寧波、南京和台北，也讓許多歐美選手增加前來亞洲出賽的次數，如果賽事辦得成功，進而吸引更多好手。

今年海碩杯最後4強並無地主台灣選手，現場仍爆滿。WTA官網透露台灣網球素養提升，觀眾並不一定只買自家球員的帳。
