穆希遭推翻是否為政變 美無意定調

1名美國資深官員表示，歐巴馬政府25日告訴國會議員，美國不打算就埃及軍方罷黜民選總統穆希(Mohammed Mursi)是否為軍事政變一事，作出決定。美國政府此舉回避了華府將自動切斷對埃及的援助。

這名官員說，美國副國務卿勃恩斯(William Burns)在向國會議員簡報時指出，歐巴馬政府沒有法律義務要為穆希的遭到推翻是否為一項政變，作出任何結論，而且此事無關乎美國的利益。

這名官員表示，歐巴馬政府相信，依法繼續對埃及提供援助，對於美國推進埃及負責任轉型、邁向民主治理的目標至關重要，歐巴馬政府將與國會合作，以決定如何最適當地持續協助埃及。
