印度一名警察首長對強暴案亂講話，引起民眾抗議，他為此公開道歉。

印度「中央調查局」局長「辛哈」昨天在記者會上，談到犯罪問題時說，如果印度不能禁止賭博，就應該開放一些場所，讓賭博合法化。這就如同有人說：如果遭到強暴，卻無法反抗，還不如盡情享受。

印度是全球強暴案發生率最高國家之一，去年底到現在，印度發生多起震驚世界的強暴案，包括一名女大學生在巴士上遭六名男子強暴，後來死亡，以及外國遊客遭人強暴。因此「辛哈」這番談話，引起強烈反彈，很多人要求長「辛哈」下台。

「印度共產黨」領袖「卡拉特」說，「辛哈」主導過好幾起重大強暴案調查，竟然還能做出這樣比喻，嚴重侮辱跟貶低女性，他應該受到起訴。辛哈辯稱，他的話遭人扭曲，被人誤解，但他願意為此道歉。
