MLB 威廉斯將掌國民隊兵符

媒體CBSSports.com在25日報導，美國職棒大聯盟(MLB)華盛頓國民隊(Washington Nationals)將聘請威廉斯(Matt Williams)擔任總教練。

目前還不清楚，國民隊將在何時宣布這項任命。

今年47歲的威廉斯，將接替在例行賽結束時宣布退休的前總教練強生(Davey Johnson)。這將是威廉斯首次出任總教練的職位。

威廉斯在2010年加入亞利桑納響尾蛇(Arizona Diamondbacks)的教練陣容，起初擔任一壘指導教練，最近改任三壘指導教練。

另外，根據大聯盟官網報導，芝加哥小熊(Chicago Cubs)也正在積極物色新教頭人選，將在下星期面談前克里夫蘭印地安人(Cleveland Indians)和西雅圖水手(Seattle Mariners)的前教練韋吉(Eric Wedge)。
